As the anticipation of the band started to take over we loaded off the tour bus and set up for our sound check a couple hours prior to showtime. We got to hang out with the band and reminisce about previous shows, road trips and the similarities between all musicians we share in love for music. I was backstage when I could hear the crowd start to grow when the doors opened at 7 and my heart began to race. The film crew was double checking their cameras and nervous jokes began to take over the room prior to the masters of ceremonies checking their wireless mics from backstage. As the lights began to dim a symbol of Jarrid Lee popped up on the big screen with beams of light began shining through clouds of smoke that filled the stage. Bruce “The Moose” Makokis read out Jarrid Lee’s bio and the band set up prior to hearing the final welcoming remarks let’s welcome to the stage Chief & Council. With drums beating and a strong E chord filled the River Cree Venue... a very emotional Jarrid Lee took the stage and commanded an excited crowd welcoming back everybody to a night of great music that we have all been waiting for.
Tanya Tucker being a legend in country music got everybody on their feet as the sun set on the prairies making this concert one of the best Jarrid Lee has played to date. Click HERE to see pictures of the event.
