Racism in the industry?

Too many times I’ve been faced with racism in my life to count and I didn’t expect it from my colleagues but it is what it is. Let’s talk about and make things right so we can have a better brighter future. To read part of the story click the link.

It's "Time To Put A Circle Round The Cross" if that seems like a good title for a song give me a call (306-227-3622). The song is written. All it needs is a personal touch from a First Nations artist - YOU! BTW I am an old white guy! I was a director on the board of the SCMA back in early to mid-nineties. I write songs and I want to submit the A/M song to CBC Radio's contest seeking to find the best Canadian song. Given CBC's current interest in and promotion of Indigenous music I think the time might be right for "Time To Put A Circle Round The Cross". A young fellow who worked with me for a short time back in the mid-eighties told me of the story he had grown up with about the Creator being displeased with the fighting among the four races, Red, White, Yellow and Black. The Sacred Circle and Cross was broken so the Creator commanded the four peoples to move to the corners of Mother Earth to find ways to finally come together and live in harmony ....... "at that time we'll put a Circle round the Cross". The story and the message stuck with me but found life on paper quite a few years ago. Perhaps now is the time to share it widely! Thoughts?

Jim... thanks for sending me an email along with the lyrics to an awesome song I’m certain we can work on together. I look forward to listening to the recorded version of it.
