In June of 2018, country radio station from Regina 620 CKRM held a contest where contestants submitted a song and would then play live at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in hopes of making it to the main stage at Craven's Country Thunder Music Festival.
There was 12 contestants and the top 3 would be opening up for Root & Boots ( Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, Colin Raye) Jess Moskaluke, Midland, and Luke Bryan during the final day July 15th of Craven's music festival.
The top 3 acts were Tayler Tauchuk, Jarrid Lee, and The Emerald Greene Duo, however it was there that the 620 CKRM radio station awarded Jarrid with an award that best captured life in Saskatchewan called the "Spirit of Saskatchewan" songwriters award for the hit song "Small Town."
The song "Small Town" was inspired by how life was growing up for Jarrid, and the song will officially be released on MAY 5TH 2019 to Canadian Radio, Indigenous Radio, Canadian Country Radio Stations, and will be available for sale on HERE as well as other avenues of distribution in the very near future.
Stay tuned for the very highly anticipated EP Album to be released in the summer of 2019.
